I always hope that the kids today enjoy their school years as much as my class and I did. We had a class of 13!!! "Smokin', drinkin', stayin' alive.....we're the class of '85!" (oh how I wonder how we made it thru!!! and can you imagine our parents?? the sleepless nights they must've had! Wondering if we were out driving too fast around 'Dead Man's Curve"....!) We really did have a lot of mostly-harmless fun and so many good memories dragging main and whatever other innocent things we did. :-) If I can find the class pictures we did as a senior group I'll include it - everyone should have a graduating class like ours.
When I photograph seniors now, (how lucky am I that it's my full-time job!?) my goal is to make it tons of fun for them and to build their confidence so they are standing taller when they leave their session. We see it a lot and it's a good feeling. Even the boys are surprised afterwards that they enjoyed their session, having come in initially not sure how it would go. I like to find out some of their favorite music and artists so that I can make a playlist specific for them and then crank it during their session. I find out ahead of time what some of their interests are what their future plans are so that I can ask them about those things throughout the session, making it easier for them to relax and just be themselves.
While we do provide digital files for all of the images purchased, we also include a stunning, leather album with their favorite images popping off the pages. The albums are high-quality keepsakes that they or their parents will enjoy for many years. Many parents like to purchase large wall art, whether it's a gorgeous canvas pro piece from Italy or a framed print to hang in their living room, we use incredibly awesome professional print vendors and are proud of the products we offer.
These years go by fast so soak them up and do get the large prints, the albums, so you can look back at those days anytime you want to! You'll never regret investing in those pictures of the amazing moments in your life and your kid's lives. We look forward to helping make it a special occasion for them and huge celebration.
